Famous Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 cups butter
2 cups sugar
2 cups brown sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
6 ounces chocolate chips
8 ounces Hershey bar (grated)
5 cups oatmeal (Measured and grated in food processor or blender)

Preparation

Cream butter with both sugars.
Combine eggs and vanilla. Mix well.
Add flour, oatmeal, salt, soda, and baking powder.
Mix well.
Add
grated chocolate, chocolate chips and nuts.
Mix well. Roll dough into balls and place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees for 6 - 7 minutes, until light brown.
Cool for 2 - 3 minutes and remove to rack to cool completely.
Yields approximately 10 dozen cookies.
