Ingredients

1 c. cornmeal
2 1/2 c. boiling water
1/2 c. cold water
1 1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Make a paste of the cold water and cornmeal; and stir until there are no lumps.
Then pour gradually into the boiling salted water.
Stir until very thick.
Pour in a double boiler; cover and cook for 2 or 3 hours, stirring frequently.
Serve hot with milk, sugar, butter and salt or as desired.
