Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 green tomatoes
    1 egg
    1/2 cup cornmeal
    1/2 cup self-rising flour
    Salt and pepper
    Cooling oil
Preparation
    Wash and slice tomatoes.
    Beat egg, salt and pepper together. Mix cornmeal and flour together and place in a baggie.
    Place tomato slices, a few at a time, in bag.
    Shake until well coated. Get oil in skillet hot.
    Place tomatoes in hot oil and fry until golden brown.
    Remove from oil and place on plate lined with paper towels.
