Papa'S Jelly Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 yellow cake, baked in 2 layers
    1 large jar apple jelly
    1 c. sugar
    1 small bag coconut
Preparation
    Slice cake layers around through the middle to make 4 thin layers.
    Bring jelly to a boil; add sugar and bring back to a boil.
    Remove from heat.
    Spoon jelly mixture between layers.
    For top layer and sides, add coconut to remaining jelly mixture.
    Stir well and spread over top and sides.
