Turnip Greens - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. fresh turnip greens
    5 slices bacon
    4 c. water
    1 Tbsp. white vinegar
    1/4 to 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Wash greens thoroughly.
    Drain.
    Tear into bite size pieces. Combine greens, bacon and water in a Dutch oven and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes.
    Add vinegar, pepper flakes, salt and
    pepper. Cover and cook an additional hour.
    Remove bacon slices before serving.
    Yields 6 servings.
