Chocolate Crunch Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 pkg. chocolate bits
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    hot water
    vanilla
Preparation
    Cream the sugar and shortening.
    Add beaten eggs.
    Gradually add the flour; dissolve soda in hot water and add with vanilla to dough.
    Fold in the nuts and chocolate bits.
    Drop from teaspoon on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 375\u00b0.
