Cranberry Bread - cooking recipe

2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. butter or margarine
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. grated orange peel
3/4 c. orange juice
1 1/2 c. light raisins
1 1/2 c. fresh or frozen cranberries, chopped
Preparation

Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda into large bowl. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Add egg, orange juice and orange peel all at once; stir just until mixture is evenly moist. Fold in raisins and cranberries. Spoon into a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Remove and cool on rack. May use just cranberries instead of raisins.
