Electric Mixer Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cakes compressed or granular yeast
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    5 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. shortening (oil)
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Heat milk to lukewarm.
    Add sugar. Dissolve yeast in milk and let stand 5 minutes.
    Add 3 cups of flour and beat vigorously. Add salt and eggs and beat well again.
    Add melted shortening or oil.
    When well blended, gradually add remaining flour.
    When stiff, turn onto floured board and knead.
    Return to oiled bowl to rise until double in bulk.
    Punch down and let rise again.
    When light, knead before shaping into desired types of rolls.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 18 minutes.
