Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 oz. red food coloring
1 oz. water
3 tsp. cocoa
1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation

Mix
first

ingredients and set aside.
Cream Crisco and sugar;
add
eggs, mixing well.
Sift flour, salt and soda together.
Add
buttermilk and flour alternately to Crisco and sugar
mixture
in\tthirds.
Mix
well.
Add red food coloring mixture; mix well.\tAdd vinegar last.
Pour into 2 greased and floured 8-inch cake pans.
Bake 35 minutes at 325\u00b0.
