Marie Moncrief'S Coconut-Black Walnut Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. oil
4 eggs, beaten
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. black walnuts, chopped
1 c. flaked coconut
2 tsp. coconut extract
Preparation

Combine sugar, oil and eggs.
Beat well.
Combine dry ingredients and add to sugar mixture alternately with buttermilk, beating well after each addition.
Stir in nuts, coconut and extract.
Pour batter into a well-greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
Bake at 250\u00b0 for 65 minutes or until cake tests done.
Pour the following hot syrup over hot cake in pan.
