Whole Wheat Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
1 pkg. yeast
1 3/4 c. water
1/3 c. brown sugar
3 Tbsp. shortening
2 tsp. salt
2 c. whole wheat flour
1 to 1 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

In large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups flour and yeast.
Heat water, brown sugar, shortening and salt to 115\u00b0 to 120\u00b0, stirring constantly.
Add flour mixture; beat at low speed for 30 seconds, then on high for 3 minutes.
Knead in whole wheat flour to make a moderately stiff dough.
Place in greased bowl, turning once to coat.
Cover; let rise in warm place until double in size.
Punch down; divide in half and let rest 10 minutes.
Shape into loaves and place in greased 8 x 4 x 2-inch loaf pans.
Cover; let rise until nearly double.
Bake in a preheated 375\u00b0 oven for 25 minutes.
Cover with foil and bake 20 minutes.
