Pumpkin Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. pumpkin
2 c. flour
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped dates or raisins
1/2 c. nuts

Preparation

Cream the shortening and sugar. Add pumpkin. Add other ingredients.
Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheets.
Frost with Orange Icing.
