Ingredients

1 c. butter
2/3 c. brown sugar
1 egg yolk
2 c. flour
Preparation

Cream together butter and sugar.
Beat in egg yolk.
Add flour. Roll dough into balls; place on ungreased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart.
Press with back of floured fork in one direction to flatten.
Top each with pecan pieces.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 9 to 10 minutes, until lightly browned around edges.
Remove from pan while still warm.
