Ingredients

5 to 5 1/2 c. flour
3 Tbsp. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. salt
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. water
3 Tbsp. margarine
Preparation

Combine 2 cups of flour, sugar, salt and yeast in a large mixing bowl.
Stir well.
Combine milk, water and margarine in a saucepan.
Cook over low heat until margarine melts.
Cool slightly.
Gradually add liquid to flour mixture, beating well at high speed of mixer.
Beat an additional 2 minutes at high speed. Add 2 cups of flour, beating well.
