John'S Curry - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. beef or chicken, cut into cubes
2 c. onion, chopped
1 or 2 pieces garlic, crushed or 1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 c. chopped bell pepper (if desired)
1 large or 2 small carrots, grated
2 Tbsp. raisins
lemon juice from 1 to 2 lemons
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. sugar
salt to taste
1 1/2 tsp. curry mix or curry powder
pepper to taste
Preparation

Saute onions, bell pepper and garlic in 2 tablespoons of margarine or butter.
Set aside.
Brown meat in frying pan. Transfer to a large pot.
Make a gravy in frying pan with drippings.
You may want to thicken it with small amount of flour. Add all ingredients to meat and simmer until meat is done. Cook rice as directed on package.
Cut up boiled egg, 1 tomato, pineapple, banana, raisins and coconut and place in small dishes. Serve on top of curry and rice.
