Dolores Fredette'S Foolproof Pie Crust - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. flour or 3 c. white and 1 c. whole wheat
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt (optional)
1 3/4 c. Crisco (white or butter flavor)
1/2 c. water
1 Tbsp. white or cider vinegar
1 large egg
Preparation

In large bowl, mix dry ingredients.
Cut in shortening until crumbly.
In small bowl, beat water, vinegar and egg.
Add to flour mixture and stir well until all ingredients are moistened. Wrap in wax paper and chill for at least 1/2 hour.
Then proceed as usual.
This dough will always be flaky, tender and delicious no matter how much it is handled.
Dough can be kept 3 to 4 days in the refrigerator.
