Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. squash
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. chopped green pepper
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 egg
    1/2 c. grated cheese
    1/2 c. chopped pimiento
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 stick margarine
    1/2 c. bread crumbs
Preparation
    Cook squash until tender.
    Drain; add butter and mash.
    Mix sugar, egg, mayonnaise, nuts, pepper, onion, salt and cheese.
    Add to squash.
    Pour into buttered dish.
    Top with bread crumbs and cheese.
    Dot with butter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes. Serves 6 to 8.
