Toll House Cookie Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. salt
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate bits
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
Preparation
    Preheat oven to
    375\u00b0.\tCombine
    in
    bowl
    the vanilla, margarine and salt.
    Blend\twell.
    Gradually
    beat\tin
    sugar. Add flour and
    chocolate bits.\tPress evenly onto ungreased 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan.
    Sprinkle with nuts.
    Press into the dough. Bake for 25 minutes in a 375\u00b0 oven.\tWatch until golden brown. Cool.
    Drain on paper towels and break into brittle.
