Sweet Apple Butter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 bushel apples, peeled and cored
    10 c. sugar
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. cinnamon candies
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    2 pkg. Sure-Jell
Preparation
    Cook apples in water in large saucepan until very tender. Press through food mill and measure 4 quarts applesauce.
    Bring to boil in large saucepan.
    Add sugar, cinnamon candies and cinnamon. Cook until bubbly, stirring constantly to dissolve sugar and candies.
    Stir in Sure-Jell.
    Cook for 10 minutes or until of desired consistency, stirring constantly.
    Spoon into 16 hot sterilized half pint jars. leaving 1/2-inch headspace.
    Seal with 2-piece lids.
    Yield:
    16 half-pint jars.
