Susan'S Wine Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef stew meat
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 large onion, sliced
    1 c. tomato juice
    1 c. Burgundy wine
    1 garlic clove
    salt and pepper to taste
    6 carrots in chunks
    12 new potatoes with skins
    1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms
    1 tsp. beef bouillon
Preparation
    Brown meat in oil; add onions, garlic, juice, wine and seasonings.
    Cover.
    Cook over low heat for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
    Add carrots and potatoes.
    Simmer until tender.
    Stir in mushrooms and bouillon.
    Heat through.
    Serves 6.
