1-2-3 Alarm Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. 80 to 85% lean hamburg
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    16 oz. beer, wine or water
    6 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 1/2 tsp. oregano
    1 1/2 tsp. cumin
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. minced onion (dried)
    1 1/2 tsp. minced garlic (dried)
    1 1/2 tsp. paprika
    1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
    3/4 to 1 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper (3/4 tsp. for 1 alarm; 1 tsp. for 2 alarm; 1 1/2 tsp. for \"3 alarm\")
Preparation
    Brown hamburg; drain fat.
    Add all other ingredients.
    Let simmer for 45 minutes.
    May add can of pinto beans, fresh tomato, green pepper and chopped onion the last 5 minutes of cooking. Garnish with shredded lettuce and shredded cheese (Monterey Jack or Cheddar).
