Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe

3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
2 c. milk, scalded
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. butter
2 eggs, beaten
1 (14 oz.) pkg. coconut
4 egg whites
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Combine flour, salt, sugar and butter, in this order.
Add scalded milk slowly, stirring constantly to large saucepan.
Cook slowly on medium-low heat until thick and smooth, stirring constantly.
Add 12 ounces coconut.
Pour into baked pie shell.
