Wilma'S Christmas Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. pecans
Preparation
    Mix buttermilk, sugar and soda together in saucepan.
    Cook until brown and forms a soft ball in cold water.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla and butter.
    Beat until glossy.
    Add pecan meats; stir until thick.
    Spoon out onto wax paper and cool.
