Surprise Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
    1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. rum extract
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    20 small whole maraschino cherries, drained
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Cream butter or margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Stir in flour, rum extract and nuts.
    Mix until well blended.
    Wrap a tablespoon of dough around each cherry. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake 25 minutes.
    Cool slightly. Roll in additional confectioners sugar and nuts, finely chopped.
