Pork Chop Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 loin pork chops (1/2 inch thick, about 2 to 3 oz. each)
    1 to 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    3/4 c. Minute rice
    3/4 c. water
    1/2 c. diced, peeled tart apple
    1/2 c. diced orange sections
    dash of pepper
    dash of savory
    1 tsp. grated orange rind
Preparation
    Trim excess fat from pork chops and brown quickly in butter in a skillet.
    Remove chops from pan.
    Saute onion in pan drippings. Combine remaining ingredients and the onion in a lightly greased, shallow casserole; mix well.
    Arrange chops on rice mixture. Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for about 45 minutes or until chops are tender.
    Makes 4 servings.
