Buttermilk Layer Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. sifted cake flour
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 tsp. vanilla or almond flavoring
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Add shortening, 2/3 cup buttermilk and flavoring.
    Beat about 1/2 minute at low speed, then 2 minutes at medium.
    Add rest of buttermilk and eggs. Beat 2 more minutes. Makes 2 layers or 24 cupcakes.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 about 25 minutes.
