Lemon Meringue Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. cold water
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1/4 c. lemon juice (fresh lemons)
1 Tbsp. margarine
1 baked (9-inch) pie shell
3 egg whites
1/3 c. sugar
Preparation

Stir together sugar and cornstarch.
Gradually stir in water until smooth. Stir in egg yolks.
Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Boil 1 minute.
Remove and stir in lemon juice and margarine; let cool and turn into pie shell.
Beat egg whites at high speed until foamy; gradually add 1/3 cup sugar and beat until stiff.
Lightly brown meringue at 350\u00b0.
