Posie Cream Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. vegetable shortening
1/8 tsp. salt
About 3 c. sifted confectioners sugar
1/4 c. soft butter or margarine
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla or 1 tsp. almond extract

Preparation

Operate mixer at low speed, mix shortening, salt, 1 c. sugar, butter and vanilla until smooth. Gradually beat in the rest of the sugar, and beat until smooth spreading consistency.
