Parsley-Cheese Toasts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 loaf unsliced French or Italian bread
    1/2 c. (or more) softened butter
    1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
    1/8 tsp. garlic powder
    18 thin slices American cheese
Preparation
    Cut bread in 3/4-inch slices to within 1/4-inch of bottom of loaf.
    Blend butter, parsley and garlic powder.
    Spread in between slices and on top.
    Put slices of cheese between bread slices. Place on buttered cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese has melted and bread is brown and crusty.
