Brandy Alexander Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 envelope gelatin
    1/2 c. cold water
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    3 eggs, separated
    1/4 c. best cognac
    1/4 c. creme de cacao (white)
    2 c. whipped cream
    1 (9-inch) chocolate cookie pie crust
Preparation
    Put water in a medium saucepan.
    Stir in gelatin until softened.
    Add 1/3 cup sugar, salt and egg yolks.
    Blend.
    Heat slowly until gelatin is dissolved and mixture thickens.
    Do not boil.
    Remove from heat and stir in liqueurs.
    Chill until mixture mounds.
