Jumbo Raisin Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. raisins
1 c. water
1 c. shortening (Crisco)
2 c. sugar (white)
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Cook raisins in cup of water 5 minutes and cool.
Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and mix well.
Add raisins and vanilla, then add dry ingredients which have been mixed together. Add nuts last.
Drop by teaspoon on a greased tin pan.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 400\u00b0 (until light brown).
Batter may be stored in refrigerator and baked as desired.
