Ingredients

2/3 c. shortening or margarine
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts
Preparation

Melt shortening.
Add sugar.
Cream together.
Add well beaten eggs.
Add vanilla and the sifted dry ingredients.
Fold in nuts. Bake in a shallow pan (8 x 12-inch), greased and floured at 350\u00b0.
