Blackberry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. blackberries, drained (whole)
Preparation
    Add berries last.
    Mix all together, stirring for 2 to 3 minutes.
    Bake in 2 (8 or 9-inch) layer pans at 350\u00b0 until done, for 30 minutes.
    Cool and frost.
