Crock Pot Apple Butter - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 gal applesauce
4 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cloves
Preparation

Combine all ingredients in large mixing bowl.
Pour into a 6 qt. slow cooker, uncovered on low, 8 to 12 hours.
Stir occasionally.
After 8 hours check thickness.
If it is too thin continue cooking until it reaches desired thickness. Fill clean pint jars and put on rims and rings.
Secure tightly. Process in boiling water bath for 20 minutes. Remove jars from water.
Lids should pull down as jars cool. Makes 7 to 9 pints.
