Strawberry Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. strawberries, mashed
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    3 c. whipping cream
    3 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. almond extract
    1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine strawberries and 1/4 cup sugar.
    Stir well.
    Set aside.
    Beat eggs with mixer until frothy.
    Gradually add 1 cup sugar, beating until thick.
    Add cream, milk, almond extract and salt.
    Mix well.
    Stir in strawberry mixture.
    Pour mixture into freezer can of a 1 gallon ice cream freezer.
    Freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
    Let ripen at least 1 hour.
