Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. squash
    2 large onions
    1/4 c. salt
    2 c. vinegar
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Slice squash and onion and let soak in salt water for 2 hours. Boil rest of ingredients and pour over squash and let set for another 2 hours.
    Boil for 5 minutes and put in jars.
