24 Hour Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head lettuce
    1 c. thinly sliced celery
    1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen peas
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
    bacon bits
    1 c. thinly sliced onion
    1 can water chestnuts, sliced
    2 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
    cherry tomatoes
Preparation
    In 9 x 13-inch baking dish, shred lettuce and cover bottom of pan.
    Top with layers of onion, celery and water chestnuts. Sprinkle frozen peas on top.
    Spread layer of mayonnaise.
    Sprinkle with seasonings.
    Top with cheeses.
    Cover and refrigerate overnight.
    Put tomatoes on top before serving.
