Ingredients

1/2 c. margarine
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 c. flour, sift before measuring
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. peanut butter (chunky style)
Preparation

Cream margarine, sugar and egg.
Sift together flour, baking soda and salt.
Add peanut butter last.
Let stand in refrigerator 2 hours or until dough can be made into balls.
Place balls on cookie sheet. Lightly make crisscross on each one to flatten.
Bake at 350\u00b0 to 400\u00b0, depending on your oven.
Makes 3 dozen.
