Italian Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 large can pumpkin
    1 1/4 tsp. soda
    4 c. flour, sifted
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    2 c. raisins
    1 c. chopped nuts
    2 tsp. pumpkin spice
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs, pumpkin and soda.
    Mix in remaining ingredients; stir well.
    Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheet.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Yields 9 dozen.
