Sweet-Sauer Cabbage Soup(Kopustu Sriuba) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. spareribs
    3 qt. water
    1 sauerkraut
    1 small head cabbage
    5 to 6 peppercorns
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 bay leaves
    1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Boil ribs in water with onion, salt, peppercorns and bay leaves for 1 hour.
    Add rinsed sauerkraut; boil 1/2 hour.
    Add shredded cabbage; boil 15 minutes longer.
    Ribs may be removed and served separately or meat cut into pieces and served in the soup.
