New England Clam Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 cans minced clams (reserve liquor; 1/2 c.)
1/2 stick margarine
4 c. diced potatoes
1/2 chopped onion
2 c. milk
1 c. light cream
3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
Preparation

Add liquor, margarine, 1 1/2 cups water, potatoes and onion. Cook, covered, 15 minutes. Add clams, 1 3/4 cups milk and cream. Blend 1/4 cup milk and flour. Stir into chowder. Heat to boil, stirring occasionally. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and dash of pepper.
