Brown Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. all-bran
    3 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. sour milk
    1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. dark Karo syrup
    1 egg
Preparation
    Mix in large bowl the all-bran, sifted flour and salt.
    Mix in blender the sour milk (add baking soda to milk), sugar, Karo syrup and egg.
    Bake in 2 greased and dusted bread pans at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Cover with foil last 10 minutes to prevent overbrowning. Test for doneness with toothpick (with glass pan reduce oven heat by 25\u00b0).
    To sour milk, add 1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice to regular milk.
