Hamburger Special - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/4 c. onions, chopped
    1 c. rice, uncooked
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1 can red kidney beans
    1 can tomatoes
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
Preparation
    Brown ground beef, onions and uncooked rice in 4 tablespoons shortening. Add garlic powder, red kidney beans, tomatoes and chili powder.
    Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Serve with tossed salad.
