Spinach Dip(Microwave) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach
1 (1 5/8 oz.) pkg. dry vegetable soup mix (without noodles)
1/2 c. water
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 (8 oz.) cup dairy sour cream with chives
5 or 6 drops red pepper sauce (optional)
Preparation

To defrost spinach, place packages in oven. Microwave at High for 5 minutes, turning packages over after half the cooking time. Let stand for 5 minutes. Drain thoroughly; set aside. Place soup mix and water in a small bowl. Cover with plastic wrap. Microwave at High for 1 minute. Let stand, covered, until vegetables are rehydrated. Place cream cheese in large bowl. Microwave at 50% (Medium) for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until cream cheese is softened. Mix in rehydrated soup mix, drained spinach, sour cream and red pepper sauce. If desired, serve with sour dough or French bread cubes, carrot sticks or crackers.
Makes 4 cups.
