Banana Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. cake flour
    1 2/3 c. sugar
    1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. shortening
    2/3 c. buttermilk
    1 1/4 c. mashed bananas
    2 large eggs
    2/3 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs and blend.
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Alternate dry ingredients with buttermilk into creamed mixture.
    Fold in mashed bananas and nuts.
    Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan or two greased 8-inch pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Frost with Butter Cream frosting.
