Quick Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter/margarine (room temperature)
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. flour
    1 large apple, pared, cored and cut into wedges
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream together butter and 1/2 cup sugar.
    Add eggs and beat until fluffy.
    Stir in vanilla and flour, mixing well.
    Spread evenly in buttered 9-inch round cake pan.
    Place apple wedges into cake batter to form a circular pattern.
    Mix together 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon.
    Sprinkle over cake.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
