Cranberry Nut Loaf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. orange juice
1 Tbsp. grated orange rind or 1 whole orange (put through blender)
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. cranberries, coarsely chopped in blender
Preparation

Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt.
Add shortening.
Combine orange juice and rind with egg.
Pour all at once into dry ingredients.
Mix slightly.
Carefully fold in cranberries and nuts.
Spoon in two greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Makes 2 loaves.
