Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/3 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. milk
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chopped raw apple
1 c. chopped raisins
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add egg and cream well.
Stir dry ingredients and milk into creamed mixture.
Add chopped nuts, apples and raisins.
Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 until they spring back to touch.
Frost while still warm with confectioners sugar icing.
