Applesauce Picnic Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. margarine
3 c. applesauce
4 c. unsifted flour
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. allspice
2 c. chopped walnuts

Preparation

In large saucepan, heat margarine and applesauce until butter is melted.
Beat eggs.
Sift together dry ingredients.
Add with beaten eggs to applesauce mixture.
Add walnuts and put in greased 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.
