Candied Yams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. water
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. vanilla
    salt to taste
    1 stick butter or margarine
    6 to 8 sweet potatoes
Preparation
    Bake sweet potatoes and cool.
    Peel and slice, place in casserole dish.
    Mix all ingredients together and bring to a boil. Pour over potatoes and bake 20 to 30 minutes.
